Oh right, so recently I heard that some people wanted to change the name of "South China Sea" into "East Vietnam Sea". On Jonathan Adisastra's channel (who recorded every episode of IWGIT S01 except for the Indonesian one), there are many Vietnamese comments that "why did RJ call the South China Sea", "RJ sucks because he calls it the South China Sea",... Hey you haters, could you please review it in the international angle?
First of all, the official sources across the world called it "South China Sea". It's official. They didn't call it to claim that it belongs to China. Here, "South China Sea" means "The Sea to the South of China", not "The Sea of the Chinese", ok? If "South China Sea" means "Chinese Sea", so what about Sea of Japan and the Indian Ocean? Those names are all for easier research. Everyone knows China, but not everyone knows Vietnam.
Understand? As a Vietnamese, I disagreed that idea.
